Life Legacy
Cordia Mae Gillespie-Justice passed away December 21, 2009. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 27, from 6-8 p.m., at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 28, at 11 a.m., at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, with Rev. Carlton D. Stimpson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Cordia Mae Gillespie-Justice was born January 3, 1933 in Memphis, Tennessee. She worked as a seamstress for over 30 years. She loved dancing and cooking for her family.
Cordia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. All those who knew her loved and cherished her.
Cordia was preceded in death by her parents, Cordie Sheperd and A.T. Pratt; her husband Everett Justice; and her loving brothers and sisters.
Cordia is survived by her loving son, Walter P. Fletcher and wife Betty of Waco, TX; loving daughter Beverly Fletcher of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren Selena, Stephen, Ortika, Jasmine, Ebony, and Keisha; and great grandchildren Robert, Malcolm, Matthew, E'mamual, Reality, Taylor, Korde, Romello, Elijah, and Timore.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Grace Gardens Funeral Home for the love and care they have shown throughout this difficult time, as well as Providence Hospice.
