John Lee McLaurin

John Lee McLaurin of Hewitt, TX, passed away on August 29, 2019 at the age of 68. He is predeceased by his parents, John McLaurin and Letha Long, and his older sister. He is survived by Kay McLaurin, his loving wife of 47 years. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Spencer McIntosh of Liberty, MO; his daughter Denise McLaurin of McKinney, TX; his granddaughters Kaylee, Emily, and Gianna McIntosh; and his three sisters and two brothers.

He was born in Eudora, AR, graduated from Metropolitan High School in Little Rock, AR and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He retired from the Army, where he served in Finance, and enjoyed traveling, genealogy, reading, and spending time with family.

Funeral service will be at 10:30am, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 300 Ritchie Road in Hewitt, TX. A reception will take place after the service. Interment will be at a Dallas cemetery with full military honors.
