Albert Eugene Maddox, 77, of Waco, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2024. He was born on November 29, 1946, in Marion, Indiana, to Juanita Bailey and George Maddox.
Albert was a hard worker and a fun-loving individual. He dedicated over 40 years of his life to Owens-Brockway in Streator, Illinois, where he retired from. Albert's commitment and dedication to his career were evident throughout his years of service. He spent some time in his later years volunteering at Sacred Heart Church. He loved the tasks of record keeping and helping with whatever is needed during the PCCW breakfasts.
In his free time, Albert enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, and baking with his grandkids. He cherished these moments spent with his family and created lasting memories with them.
Albert will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 30 years, Carmela Maddox. He is also survived by his children Angie (Doyle) Hershberger, Pam (Todd) Coates, Rick (Jean) Maddox, Nicole Maddox, and his stepchildren David (Michelle) Hernandez, Carlos (Angela) Henry, Jorge (Francisca) Hernandez, Eduardo (Amber) Hernandez, and Veronica (Victor) Ramirez. His surviving siblings include Roberta Brown, George Maddox, Bob (Erin) Maddox, Sue Maddox, and Dale (Donna) Maddox. Albert is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Jan Maddox, and two sisters Donna Rangel and Alice Forsberg.
A mass will be held in Albert's honor at Sacred Heart Church in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, February 17th, at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to The American Kidney Fund in memory of Albert Maddox.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
