Aleiyah Mata

Aleiyah Brielle Mata was born prematurely at just 31 weeks on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 3:28 a.m. Though tiny, she entered this world full of might and spirit. During her brief time in the NICU, Aleiyah showed incredible strength. Just a day after turning two weeks old, she became severely ill and had to undergo surgery. Despite the odds, Aleiyah fought with all her heart, showing a courage far beyond her size.

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 5:32 a.m., Aleiyah left this world and was embraced by Heaven. Her time here with us was heartbreakingly short, but her impact was deep, everlasting and it felt like a lifetime. Though we longed to keep her in our arms, we trust in God’s greater plan — “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Aleiyah was loved dearly by her family. Her mother, Mariah Mata and step father: Elijah Palacios, her big sister, Amaya Montoya-Mata, grandmother, Nikki Valdez, aunt, Aubrey Gomez, uncles, Jaylan & Niko Valdez, great grandmother: Gloria Valdez, and great grandparents Mary & Feliciano Paloblanco.

Though she is no longer in our arms, she will forever remain in our hearts.
