We celebrate the remarkable life of Alice Carleen Westwood, whose earthly journey came to a peaceful close on October 17, 2025, in Waco, Texas. Born on November 25, 1936, in Gatesville, Texas, Alice's life was marked by an exceptional career that spanned various roles. She found profound fulfillment as the secretary of Karem Shrine, where her conscientious nature and generosity flourished, As an office manager for Mack Trucks, Wolf Manufacturing, and an entrepreneur with her own businesses in Speegleville, Alice embodied professionalism and dedication.
An accomplished graduate of Gatesville High School Alice embraced her community with an open heart, devoting countless hours to her church, where she remained a devoted member of the Speegleville Baptist Church, nurturing both her faith and the bonds of fellowship with her neighbors.
Described by many as the most generous person they had ever known, Alice approached life with a helping hand, always ready to help those in need. Known for her compassionate heart, she was not only a great people leader and mentor but also a strong community service volunteer and advocate, who enjoyed all the fun in life.
Alice is survived by her cherished family: her son, Glenn Ray Pitts, and her daughter, Tina Foss, along with her husband Mark. They honor her memory alongside her grandson, Robert Wayne Pitts, and great-grandson, Carl Wayne Pitts. Alice also leaves behind her beloved companion, Herb Kunkel, and her brother, Thomas Duncan Chambers, his wife Paula, and their son Doug Chambers.
