Angeline “Tippy” Reid, passed away on March 17, 2026, in McGregor, Texas. She was 88 years old.Born on January 7, 1938, in Akron, Ohio.

Tippy’s lifelong love of reading began in childhood and paved the way for a distinguished career in education. She earned a Specialist in Education degree and spent 30 years serving the Clark County School District, eventually retiring as the Director of Special Education Services. Her career was a testament to her commitment to ensuring every student had the support they needed to succeed.

On July 11, 1975, Tippy married the love of her life, Stuart Reid, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they shared over 50 years of partnership and adventure. Tippy was a woman of many passions; she was a traveler, a cook, and often had a book in her hand. A woman of faith, she was a dedicated member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Hewitt, Texas.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Stuart Reid; her stepsons, David Reid and John Sarra; her step-grandchildren, David Coleman Reid, Maryn Elizabeth Reid, and Florence Sarra, and a community of friends and former colleagues who were touched by her kindness and intellect.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on March 27, 2026, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Hewitt, Texas.
