Ann Baird

Ann Baird age 78, of Waco passed away on Tuesday November 27, 2012 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be 1PM Saturday December 1, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Grapevine Historic Cemetery in Grapevine, Texas.

Ann Baird was born December 13, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to Ira Noble and Annie May Wheat. Ann was a “professional” homemaker, mom and wife. She was happy to support her husband’s career, having moved her family 12 times to 10 cities before moving to Waco after his death in 1996. She loved exploring new places and making new friends as she and Ewell moved their family to places like Grand Prairie, TX; Irving, TX; Wichita Falls, TX; Abilene, TX; Ponca City, OK; Denver, CO; Poughkeepsie, NY; Atlantic City, NJ; Houston, TX; and Grapevine, TX. Her deep faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and the joy she received from singing and praising God in each church she was privileged to attend gave her an overflowing and contagious love and peace that was her constant companion, especially as she made her last move to Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ewell Dean Baird and her parents.

Ann is survived by her brother, Ralph Wheat of Bedford, TX; her son Robin Baird of Waco, TX, his wife Georgia and grandsons Ryan, Travis, and Foster; her son Kenneth Baird of McKinney, TX, his wife Pam and grandchildren Niki, Erin, and Kenny; her son Mical Baird of Bethany, OK, and his wife Sherry who are in the process of adopting Ethan, Patrick, and Alex; her daughter Stephanie Lippencott of Santa Clarita, CA, her husband Jeffrey, and granddaughters Carol Ann and Emma.
