I was born January 10, 1942 in Waco, Texas. My parents are Frank Baker Place, Jr. and Joyce Faye (Sumpter) Place. I went to school in various Texas cities due to my Dad being promoted to different terminals as manager of Central Freight Lines. I attended school my 8th grade year while living with my grandmother (Bigmama} in McGregor, then I moved to White Settlement and went to high school at C. F. Brewer HS and graduated there. I played girls sports and lettered 4 years in basketball. I attended 4C Business College in Waco where my father had attended before me and still held the speed typing record. I moved to Dallas and started working in the Life Insurance industry. Horses were always my passion. My Daddy bought me by first one when I was in 5th grade. That was in Handley and that is where I met Papa Red (Red Moore) and my lifelong friend, Nubbin. Through them I was gifted to ride in the Fort Worth Stock Show Grand Entry many times and many other activities there that I loved to do. In 1965 I married Donald Jansky in Dallas. We had two children, Melinda Ann (Jansky) Henderson and Stephen Ray Jansky. I also have a grandson, Logan Jansky. In 1988 I married Douglas Bell at the BarM ranch in Bell County. I have attended Baptist/Church of Christ all my life. I have been a long time member of Crestview Church of Christ. I retired From State Farm Claims after 20 years. I am pre-deceased by my parents, Frank and Marguerite Place and Wayne and Joyce Murphy. My dear grandparents, my beloved brother, Walter Darrell Place, my children’s father, Don Jansky, and my husband, Doug Bell, uncles and aunts and cousins.
I am survived by my precious children Melinda (Rex) Henderson, Stephen (Diana) Jansky, and the light of my life, Logan Jansky. Brother Michael (Maurena) Place, sisters Jolene (Mark) Conlin and Mary Kaye. McLaughlin. Aunt Barbara Ann, cousins and nieces Cheryl Place Kerovich. Michelle Conlin, Melissa Conlin and nephew Mark Conlin.
And the best friends ever. Nubbin Bailey and Billie Farr. My church family.
My children say I always to have the last word, so here it is AVC Always Vote Conservative.
Happy Trails
