In 1991, Bill returned to Waco as President/CEO of Genco Federal Credit Union, where he served until his retirement on October 12, 2007.
Even in retirement, Bill’s commitment to the credit union movement continued. He spent two years helping manage troubled credit unions in Texas and Louisiana, embodying a lifelong dedication to service and community.
Over his 50+ years career, Bill served on numerous boards and committees, including the Credit Union National Board of Directors, the National Association of Share Insurance Corporations, the Texas Credit Union League Service Board, CUES Texas Council, and as a gubernatorial appointee to the Texas Credit Union Commission. In 2001, he was honored as the Texas Credit Union Professional of the Year.
"1955 to 2007 — Where did the years go?" Bill's legacy of leadership, service, and love will never be forgotten.
