Brian Keith Hoggard, born September 12, 1968, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2026, in Axtell, Texas. His life was marked by dedicated service, skilled craftsmanship, a spirit of adventure, and a deep commitment to family. He never met a stranger; Brian always found a reason to speak with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and connection wherever he went.
Brian graduated from Judson High School in Converse, Texas, in 1987. He continued his education at WyoTech, earning certification in automotive collision repair. He then worked alongside his father for several years, gaining experience and sharing time in a craft they both valued.
In 1992, Brian joined the United States Air Force. His military career took him around the world. After faithfully serving his country for 22+ years, he retired as a Master Sergeant, having earned numerous commendations for his leadership and various achievements. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he embarked on a new chapter shaped by his lifelong mechanical talents.
Brian attended the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Phoenix, Arizona, where he trained to become a Harley-Davidson mechanic. He worked at Red Rock Harley-Davidson in Las Vegas and later transferred to Denali Harley-Davidson when he and his wife moved to Alaska. In 2023, he returned to his home state of Texas, where he focused on settling into his new home and later became a postal carrier for the town of Axtell—a role perfectly suited for a man who loved talking to everyone in his community.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Hoggard, and his grandmothers, Norma Esther Hoggard and Lydia Karoline Lehrmann.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kristin; his son, Brandon Hoggard; his mother, Joyce Pike; his sisters, Shelley Hoggard-Browder and Priscilla Rios; his brother, David Pike; his nieces & nephews, and numerous cousins and friends.
A burial service with full military honors will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brian's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Brian will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him. His legacy of service, hard work, resilience, and devotion to those he loved will endure in the lives of his family and friends.
