Carl Dean Moffett Jr. “Bubba” passed away in West, Texas, on October 11, 2026, at the age of 60. Carl was born in Waco, Texas, on October 28, 1965, to Carl Dean Sr. and Mary Ann Moffett.

In August of this year, Carl asked Jesus into his heart and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized at Rock Creek Church alongside several family members.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Carl and Althea Moffett and Frank and Vivian Dyer; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Katy (Jacob) and Sara; grandsons, Aaron and Levi; brother, David (Stacey); sister, Jennifer (Tim); and his beloved fur baby, Delilah. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Brandi, Casey, Rachel, Kaylee, and Chris; aunts, Maxine, Nancy, and Cindy; as well as many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and lifelong friends.

Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at West Rest Haven Nursing Home for loving and caring for Carl during the last month of his life. They are also deeply appreciative of the staff on 6N at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital and the Inpatient Rehab team for their excellent care during his many stays throughout this year.
