Carl Richard Pliscott

Carl R. Pliscott of West, formerly of Hewitt, passed away February 4, surrounded by his children at the age of 92.    Visitation will  be 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Chapel of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel with Rev. J.P. Crenshaw officiating.  Interment, with Air Force Honors will follow in Waco Memorial Park.

Carl joined the Air Force and served at James Connally AFB during the Korean War. While serving in the AF, he met the love of his life, Evelyn Hatfield, while shopping in downtown Waco. They married in 1951 and had 3 children. After working for Boeing and CertainTeed, Carl worked for the City of Waco as a systems analyst computer programmer where he later retired. When Evelyn died in 2018, they were 11 days short of being married 67 years

Carl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, he served as a Deacon most of his church life, taking part in the Gideons, and listening to gospel music. He also served as an Ombudsman. He had many hobbies but enjoyed woodworking in his retirement years. He and Evelyn did extensive traveling where he always had his camcorder.

Carl is preceeded in death by his wife, Evelyn, his parents, and a brother and sister.

Carl is survived by his son Carl (Rick) Pliscott Jr. and wife Linda, daughters Lori Rimlinger and husband Robert, Debbie Trevino and husband Ralph; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Carl Pliscott, III,  Kevin Rimlinger, Michael Pliscott, David Pliscott, Ryan Rimlinger, Tyler Trevino and Case Trevino.
