Carmen Arnold

October 7, 1954 — June 24, 2023

Carmen Arnold fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. She passed into the arms of the Lord on June 24, 2023. A visitation will be 5:00pm, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 6:00pm. Carmen was born October 7, 1954, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Jeremius Domingo and Felipa Paguirigan.

Steve and Carmen met under the palm trees of Hawaii; this is where the two began their journey.  Carmen was a beloved wife, mother, and grandma. Her grandchildren would receive Bible quizzes through text at random, to make sure they remained close to God's word.

Carmen had many joys, but she especially enjoyed the water. From clear, cold mountain streams of her Philippines to the beaches of Hawaii. The waters of Washington State to annual canoeing down the clear waters in Southern Missouri. From South Padre Island to Destin, Florida, and North Carolina. She also played in the waters at Baylor University and ran through the fields of water sprinklers daily with her beloved mini pinschers.

She had an immense love for her brothers, sister and all her nieces and nephews. Carmen loved to serve the Lord. Servitude described her life; Carmen was joy filled. She cooked for men’s ministries for 18 years, and at church picnics.

From witnessing Christ on some of the deadliest streets in the nation to serving at food and clothing pantries. Carmen had a servant’s heart. Carmen really loved her job, her clients and most of all her church family. Foremost in her life was to follow Jesus Christ, second to that was the love she had for her family.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister.

Carmen is survived by her husband Steve Arnold, son Jason (Veronica) Arnold, daughter, Jamie (Dan) Blasingame, and grandchildren Jade Blasingame, Cale Blasingame, Colt Blasingame, as well as her brothers, many nephews, nieces, and friends.
