Charlotte Maria Keller, 79, of Lorena, Texas, passed away on September 7, 2023. She was born on December 9, 1943, in Germany.

Charlotte, lovingly known as Mama, Omi, and Oma, was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Scott Keller, as well as her parents, Moritz and Maria Hartmann.

Charlotte, known as Carola in Germany, met her beloved husband, Scott, in Germany, in 1964 while he was serving in the U.S. Army. Charlotte and Scott met at a restaurant called Mapesmuehlt. They had their first date two days later, and Scott gifted her with Wrigley's chewing gum. They fell deeply in love and eventually got married on November 15, 1967. In between this time, they had two beautiful baby girls.

After moving to the United States in 1979, Charlotte taught herself English by watching the news on television. Charlotte had a passion for dogs and hummingbirds. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, and gardening. Charlotte was a seamstress, and her dream was to become a fashion designer. Charlotte was a very independent, strong woman that never encountered a stranger.

She is survived by her daughters Patty Keller and Katherine Keller-Moore with husband, Robert Moore. Their children Kristina McLean, Teri and her husband, Eric Watson, Amber and her husband, Gary Villalpando, Yazmin and her husband, Wesley Vick, and Chenelle Moore. Charlotte's great-grandchildren are Emma-Rae,, Lillian, Kinsley, Trynten, Ethan, and Guessiaron who will forever hold their Oma's memory in their hearts. Charlotte is also deeply remembered by her sister, Gusti Brendel, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who still reside in Germany.

A ceremony to celebrate Charlotte's remarkable life will be held at Toliver Baptist Church on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects to this extraordinary woman who touched the lives of so many.

Charlotte's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her
