Christine Champion

May 4, 1969 — April 21, 2024

Christine Lynn Champion, 54, of Waco, passed away April 21, 2024 while surrounded by her family. Born to Edward and Joann Champion on May 4, 1969 in Ft. Lee, Virginia. After traveling the world as an army brat, Christine's parents settled in Waco. She attended University High School from 1983 through 1987 and started a family shortly after. In 1987, Christine gave birth to her first child, a beautiful baby girl. A few years later, the second love of her life was born, a rowdy boy this time. Her children meant the world to her and the title of "mother' would be her most cherished title of all.
Christine had a heart of gold; anyone can confirm this. She was feisty and outspoken and always found the positive in everything. She loved country music and two-stepping and worked as a bartender for many years. Karaoke was a favorite past-time and she loved to sing with friends and family. Her compassion and loving heart were extended to not only strangers but to animals as well. It was common for her to take in strays of all species and she had many lifelong pets. A collector of many things, unicorns were her favorite. A free spirit with no prejudice for anyone, Christine made friends with everyone.
Christine is survived by her father, Edward Champion; daughter, Amber Feliciano and husband James Feliciano; son James Mickles and wife Kyndal Mickles; sisters, Tammy Cook and husband James Cook and Sandy Biddy and wife Linda Biddy; ex-husband Billy Mickles; and close friend Cindy Finely. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kaydence, Tyler, Kali, Ryder, Tristynn, and Madixx, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Christine was expecting her first great grandchild at the time of her passing. Christine is preceded in death by Joann Champion, her beloved mother.
Her family is comforted in knowing that Christine is surrounded by light, free from all the pain and sorrow of this world.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday May 7th, 2pm at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S 12th St, Waco, TX. A small memorial service will follow at her childhood home in Robinson, Tx.
