IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Concepcion
Rojas Leal "Mami"
November 11, 1935 – December 17, 2025
Concepcion Rojas Leal, affectionately known as "Mami," was born on November 11, 1935, in Acatlán, Puebla, Mexico. She passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, dedication, and countless cherished memories.
A primary school teacher and secretary, Mami's passion for education was evident in her early years. In a time when obtaining a teaching certificate was possible after completing middle school, she seized the opportunity and was committed to nurturing minds.
In 1955, Mami married Enrique Leal, in her hometown. Their union was blessed with ten wonderful children. Mami dedicated herself to her family, building a tapestry of traditions and values that were passed down through the years, which blossomed into a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mami had a vibrant personality, full of life and creativity. She was often found playing guitar and singing, echoing the love she felt for those around her. Writing poetry and her thoughts brought her joy, as did cooking meals that gathered her family. Her free time was often spent doing crosswords and word searches, or enjoying the latest videos on her tablet, always ready to share laughter and stories. Above all, she treasured her family, finding joy in the small moments.
She leaves behind cherished children Fede, Cuy, Nena, Cesar, Rene, Vero, Victor, Quique, and Edna, along with an immense family of 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who will carry her legacy forward. Mami is also survived by her beloved siblings, Javier, Neto, Trini, Mary, and Fati, who shared in the challenge of growing together.
Though she is now reunited with her beloved husband Enrique, their son Jesus, and her parents, Irene and Gudalupe, among other dear siblings, Chucho, Pepe, Beto, Rami, and Teri, her spirit will forever remain a light in the lives of those she touched.
Mami’s life was a melody of love, compassion, and resilience, and her memory will be forever an inspiration for family and friends. A visitation will be held on December 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the funeral service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home
