Dora Imogene Washam at the grand age of 96 passed away in Waco, Texas on Friday November 21, 2025. She was born on Tuesday April 30, 1929, to her parents Fred Arthur and Lula Mae Maples in Highlandville, Missouri.

Imogene was raised on a small farm during the Great Depression. The tiny farmhouse was shared by her elder two brothers Ralph and Ross and her elder sister Mary Ruth. She enjoyed riding her horse to her uncle’s market in Highlandville as well as the many Aunts and Uncles that lived close by. She enjoyed going to school and the local Baptist Church, where many friends and cousins also attended.

She met a local boy at school and fell in love with the love of her life of 70 years. He would return from serving his nation in the US Army and were married on December 22, 1946. Imogene made her home a warm and welcome delight to all her guests with the most astounding meals. She lived in many places like Springfield Mo., Oxnard, Ca., Colton Or., Visalia, Ca., San Marcos, Ca., and McGregor, Tx., but her favorite was Orange Ca., she loved the palm trees and the warm sunshine. Every holiday was celebrated to the fullest with as many grandchildren as possible. She taught Sunday School, VBS and her children how to pray. She encouraged each of her children to follow the Lord and to pursue the things He was calling them to be.

She is survived by her children Michael Washam, and wife Addie Washam, Deborah Ross, Mark Washam and wife Vicky Washam, Timothy Washam and wife Kris Washam, David Anderson (Foster Son).

Grandchildren: Shawna (Michael) Findley, Bethany (Ken) Gardner, Melissa (Luke) Lanting, Shane (Cindi) Washam, Nathanael (Tara) Washam, Lyndon Washam, Chloe Anderson, Benjamin (Sarah) Washam, Heidi (Joe Bensch) Washam, Micah (Kelly) Washam, Matthew Ross, Andrew (Anna) Washam, Kylynn (Andrew Bowman) Washam, Allie (Ozzie) Durst.

Great Grandchildren: Caleb (Jess) Lanting, Hannah Lanting, Josiah Washam, Abigail Findley, Haley Lanting, Jayden Gardner, Isaiah Findley, Eli Ba’Attiyah, Aaron Washam, Meghan Washam, Kaiya Gardner, Jeremiah Findley, Katie Washam, Andrew Lanting, Faith Findley, Aubrey Washam, Noah Findley, Moriah Findley, Emma Washam, Declan Washam, Caleb Washam, Silas Washam, Arwen Washam, Gideon Findley, Adalee Washam, Joseph Washam, Callisto Durst, Koa Washam.

Great, Great Grandchild: Carter Lanting.

Predeceased by her Husband Harold Earl Washam, Brothers Ralph Price, Ross Price, Carl Maples, Sister Mary Ruth Maples, Son-in-law Leonard Ross, Grandson Jacob Washam, and Great-grandson Elijah Findley.
