Our mom and Grandma, Dorothy Jean Pickens Moore, left us to be with the Lord and our many family members and loved ones already in Heaven on October 30, 2026, at the remarkable age of 99. Born on May 15, 1927, to Artie and Ora Pickens, she grew up in Axtell, Texas, she was one of five children. Dorothy's life was a testament to resilience and love, qualities that she embodied throughout her remarkable journey.

In 1947, Dorothy married the love of her life, Trent Moore, and together they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and joy for their two beloved children. As a dedicated homemaker, Dorothy found great fulfillment in caring for her family. She cherished her weekly trips to the beauty shop, delighted in playing bunko and 42 with her friends, and admirably maintained a well-ordered household.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her devoted husband and her cherished granddaughter, April Irwin. She leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by her son, Eddie Moore and wife, Danielle; her daughter, Lesa Irwin; her granddaughter, Dannette Wade and husband, Curt; and her great-grandchildren, Kyla Wade and Cooper Wade. Additionally, Dorothy's feline companion, Greedy, will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.

The family will hold a private burial ceremony at a later date to honor Dorothy's life and legacy.
