Upon leaving college, Eddie joined the National Guard. He then met and married his sweetheart, Virginia Holmes in 1966. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Eddie and Virginia established and co-owned, Young Services and, The Barn, a venue on Spring Valley Road.
Mr. Young was a founding member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, as well, as a founding member of the choir where he played classical guitar for 42 years. He often entertained family, friends, and his beloved dogs with his playing. He was truly an artist on the guitar. Eddie loved worshipping and serving his Lord. He was also a devoted reader of the Bible and loved to share his philosophy of Christianity with others.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Patsy Young Billings. Family survivors include his wife, Virginia; daughter, Judy Young; son, Cory Young; brother, William R. Young and wife, Ginger, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
