Elizabeth Jane (Derrick) Davis, affectionately known as Beth, passed away on March 18, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Born on February 7, 1960, Beth’s journey through life was marked by a radiant spirit and an unwavering love for those around her.
A proud graduate of Richfield High School in 1978, Beth carried with her the values and warmth of her upbringing in Waco. She furthered her education at Texas A&M, embracing every opportunity to grow and learn. Early on, Beth stepped into the workforce at Montgomery Ward, following in the footsteps of her devoted mother who worked there. Her dedication was evident as she remained until the store closed, a testament to her loyalty and strong work ethic. Later, she found a niche as a call center supervisor at an insurance company, ESMI, in Waco, where her leadership and kindness touched many.
Beth’s personality was truly one of a kind. She never met a stranger, greeting everyone with open arms and a smile that could light up a room. Full of life, a natural jokester with a delightful sense of humor, she had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen and cherished. Her love for family was boundless, reflecting in every interaction and moment shared. Beyond social warmth, she nurtured a passion for crafting—delighting in making things with her hands, creating beauty from the simplest materials, and sharing her artistry with those she loved.
Her family was the heart of Beth’s world. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Eric, with whom she shared 25 wonderful years; her mother, Linda Derrick; and her siblings, Evelyn Cervenka and Charles Derrick, Jr. and his wife Dawn. The embrace of extended family remains strong with her mother- and father-in-law, Janis and Ronald Davis; siblings-in-law Thomas Davis and wife Barbara, Lara Kramer and husband Justin, Veronica Mamone and husband Tommy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, Charles Derrick, whose memory she carried fondly, and her brother-in-law, Randy Cervenka, who she held dear.
To celebrate a life so beautifully lived, a Celebration of Life service will be held on March 24, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home & Crematorium, located at 8220 Woodway Drive in Woodway, Texas.
