His entrepreneurial spirit led him to cofound Highline Exploration, also located in Tuscaloosa, where his leadership qualities were instrumental until his eventual retirement.

Known among colleagues and family for his wisdom and practical approach, Gary Cox was respected for his selflessness, generosity, and kindness. He was not only a businessman but also a beloved husband and father who consistently put his family first. Mr. Cox is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie; his son, Christopher Cox and his wife Laura; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Penelope, and Rhett. He is also survived by his sister, Marsha Kruckenberg, who shared in his life’s journey. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Tracy, and his siblings James Cox and Cathay Cox.

Gary Cox’s legacy is one of professional dedication, familial devotion, and an enduring love for the outdoors. His memory will be fondly treasured by all who knew him.
