Our dad was a Christian, loving father, husband and family man. He loved to travel and
we would load the station wagon up every year for a vacation. We visited every state
and also lived in over 10 states including Haiti and Puerto Rico. Our dad always had a
joke and was forever telling us we owed him money. He was exceptional with his
mathematics skills and could figure out the toughest math problem, usually in his head
within seconds. George was a life long UT fan and had yearly season tickets and
watched every football game. You could always count on him to have his cow bell
ringing or giving the “Hook em Horns” sign with his hand. His final wish at his closing
was to play the “Eyes of Texas”. George was a member of St Matthew Lutheran Church
until he moved to Austin.

After retiring from Palm Harbor Homes in 1994, he began driving for the American
Cancer Society, Medi-wheels and Meals on Wheels. He loved driving his patients for
their treatments or delivering food to those in need. He received the Volunteer of the

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; they rod and they staff they comfort me.
You preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven and is seated
at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
