George "Gary" Robertson

George "Gary" Robertson passed away Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 beginning at 11AM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Chaplain Luke Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be the night prior from 6 - 8 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Gary was born on May 18, 1950 in Waco, Texas to George “Richard” and Virginia Louise Robertson. Growing up Gary enjoyed playing football and participating in Boy Scouts. After graduating from LaVega in 1968, he attended a trade school for printing and worked for numerous print shops in the Waco area for many years. Gary loved the Lord and was a member of Bellmead First Baptist Church.

Gary married the love of his life, Donna Clay, on June 4, 1992. He loved being outside and enjoyed gardening, barbequing, swimming, listening to music, throwing darts and playing pool. He loved his grandchildren and they were his greatest joy and delight and they sure did love their Papa. After a long day of work he couldn’t wait to get home and see his four legged children, Chesney, Izzy and Boz.

He is preceeded in death by his Parents, George “Richard” and Virginia Louise Robertson and Grandson, Kash Delony.

Gary leaves behind his loving wife, Donna, children and their spouses Misty (Troy) Barkley of Hewitt; Robin (Chris) Bowers of Gatesville, Jason (Tasha) Delony of Lorena, Jacob Delony and fiancé Lisa Sanchez of Helotes and James (Kristy) Delony of Robinson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brendan and Amber Hollandsworth, Lexi Baldwin, Mackenzi and Mason Delony, Hannah, Hayden and Hunter Delony and Kinley Delony and great grandchildren, Dawson, Weston and Hudson.

Pallbearers include Brendan Hollandsworth, Mason Delony, Hayden Delony, Hunter Delony, Clay Swink and Thomas Baldwin.

The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to Kaye, Heather, Luke and everyone with Ascension Hospice. The Special care and compassion Gary received did not go without appreciation.
