It is with heavy hearts but warm smiles that we announce the passing of our beloved Gladys "GiGi" Hamlett, who departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and fabulous style. GiGi was truly one of a kind—a vibrant spirit who could brighten anyone’s day.
Born to Lily and Richard Moore, GiGi had a flair for decorating her apartment, always ensuring it was a warm and welcoming space. She loved dressing up and seemed to have a sixth sense for fashion; her outfits were always on point. An avid fan of music, she adored Elvis and Conway Twitty.
Her heart knew no bounds when it came to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her daughters, Jeanette Beegle (Dave) and Karen White (Dennis), and adored her grandchildren—Tara Pfenninger (Carl), Kiara Baugh, and Michael Hamlett II (Jazzie), who brought her immense joy. She was also a proud great-grandmother to little Journey Hamlett. GiGi had a way of making everyone smile, and her laughter will be missed by all who knew her.
GiGi was passionate about many things: from dancing and shopping to her love for animals, cars, music, and beautiful jewelry, her zest for life was truly contagious. She taught those around her the importance of living life to the fullest.
GiGi is survived by her cherished brother, Jimmy Moore (Cathy), who will also carry on her vibrant spirit in his own way. Preceding her in death are her beloved husband, Leon Hamlett, her son, Michael Martin Hamlett, and her daughter, Teresa Lynn Hamlett.
Rest in peace, GiGi. You will forever be in our hearts.
