Helen SteveAnna Kiss, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at 62 years old on July 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Hillcrest Hospital after a brief illness.

A visitation celebrating Helen's life will be on Saturday, July 11, 2026, 10:00a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive, Woodway, Texas 76712. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens, with burial afterward at Oakwood Cemetery.

Helen was born on December 27, 1963, in Arad, Romania, to Petru Dehelean and Sofia Andra Dehelean. Her early years were shaped by the love of a large, close-knit family. At the age of 14, Helen immigrated to the United States with her family.

Helen made her home in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated from Gordon S. Hubbard High School in 1981. She later worked for several years in the Tax Division at Arthur Andersen & Co..

It was at a church picnic that Helen met the love of her life, Zoltan. Their friendship turned into a lifelong love, and they were married on September 30, 1990, at Maranatha Pentecostal Church. Together they built a home centered on faith, family, and dedication.

Helen was a self-proclaimed divine homemaker. With a twinkle in her eye and a quick wit, Helen was the quiet heart of every gathering. She was funny and quirky – a reigning champ of the jelly bean game, always quick with a word search, and never one to turn down a Little Debbie cake. Her favorite pastime might have been sitting on the porch, drinking coffee. To those who knew her well, she was the "cute one," the "nobody's home," aunt, and a steadfast presence whose very quirks became family traditions.

Above all else, Helen's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She loved fiercely, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and a constant source of happiness. They always knew they could count on Grandma to be at home on her couch, ready to welcome them with open arms.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Petru Dehelean and Sofia Andra Dehelean; her brothers, Aaron, Petru, and John; her sister, Mary; her brother-in-law, Sammy; and her nephew, Joey.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Zoltan Kiss; her loving children, Michelle (Zack), Maggie, Monica, Adam, Melanie, Maddy, and Melinda; her cherished grandchildren, Jayce, Xander, and Ezra; her beloved siblings, Lidia, Florence, Eta, Roza, Anica, Cornel, Denci, Sofia, Neli, and Esti, along with their spouses; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

The family finds comfort in knowing Helen has been reunited with those who went before her and rests peacefully in the loving presence of her Savior.

Helen leaves behind a legacy woven of family, faith, and unconditional love. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her spirit lives on in the traditions she created and the family she cherished. She will be deeply missed, lovingly celebrated, and forever remembered.

The family extends a special thank you to the care staff at Hillcrest; Dr. Itty, nurses Rafi, Bambi, Hannah, and Alyssa, your compassionate care did not go unnoticed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made below.
