Jack Thomas Herrin, 38, of Waco Texas, passed away in a tragic accident on July 22, 2023, in Taos, New Mexico. A celebration of his extraordinary life will be announced later.
Jack was born September 10, 1984, in Waco Texas. He graduated from Austin High School then continued his education, graduating with Honors from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
Jack lived life to the fullest. He was truly larger than life, with a million-dollar smile and a heart of gold. He was an avid, experienced snow skier, BASE jumper, and wing suit flier. He enjoyed all extreme sports. The mountains were his haven, especially Telluride, Colorado. He could ski circles around us, even as a child. We have many fond memories of Jack and will treasure them forever.
Jack was the host of a successful, family-owned boutique hotel on the Baylor University Campus. We are extremely grateful for the last several years we spent with him.
We love you, Jack!
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Mary Herrin, Corkey and Candy McDaniels, Jack and Betty Thomas, and Uncles, Jarrell McDaniels and Jay Thomas.
He is survived by his parents, Charlie and Stacey Herrin, and Linda Thomas; brothers, Chad Herrin, Adam Herrin, Erin Barnett; sister, L.E. Barnett-Stainsby; loving girlfriend, Ashley Frizzola; and numerous extended family and beloved friends.
The guest book is offered at www.gracegardensfuneralhome.com where you may leave your condolences or a fond memory about Jack.
