Jackie Estelle Roberson, born Jackie Estelle McNeely, age 82, of Bruceville Tx, passed away on April 9, 2026.
Jackie was born on August 3, 1943, in McGregor, where she was raised and later met the love of her life, Kenneth Roberson. As the story goes, Kenneth was sitting with his father at Jackie’s mother’s business when he first saw her and declared, “I am going to marry that girl.” True to his word, the two were married on August 7, 1959, and went on to share 60 wonderful years together.
Together they raised three sons—Randy, Kenny, and Keith—three rambunctious boys who kept life busy and full of energy, especially with their involvement in sports. Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, and Memaw.
Jackie worked for Fab-Knit and later retired from Powers Embroidery, where she was so appreciated that she was invited back to work part-time for several years. She was talented and creative, spending time crafting and painting her own wood carvings. She enjoyed doing puzzles, and going on road trips to casinos. Jackie loved visiting with friends and family—she was incredibly social, never met a stranger, and left a lasting impression wherever she went. She was truly one of a kind: bold, spirited, and a bit of a firecracker when the moment called for it.
Some of the most cherished memories were made during the family’s annual Fourth of July week-long gatherings at the tank on their land—filled with singing, card games, darts, laughter, and stories of the good old days. Jackie was also an avid spoons player and brought joy and energy to every gathering.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Kenneth Roberson, and her oldest son, Randy Roberson. Her sisters Charlene Reeves and MaryAnn Bone and brother Wimpy McNeely.
She is survived by her sons, Kenny Roberson and wife Yvonne, and Keith “Rooster” Roberson and wife Valerie; granddaughters Crystal Roberson and Kayla Roberson; and great-grandsons Ross and Rooney Bell. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
At Jackie’s request, no memorial services will be held. Instead, she asked that everyone celebrate her life in their own way—and, if possible, have a “Cocktail” in her honor.
Jackie will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever celebrated by all who knew and loved her.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who cared for and supported her during her final weeks. Your compassion and kindness brought comfort not only to her, but to all of us.
