James Nicholas Bondeson, 41, of Lorena, Texas, entered his heavenly home unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16, 2026. A come-and-go memorial visitation in his honor will be at Grace Gardens Funeral Home from 3-5pm on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

James was born December 23, 1984 to Don and Lynn Bondeson in Aurora, Colorado. The family eventually moved to Texas and he grew up in Woodway. After a brief move to Wisconsin, James graduated from Westfield High School and then moved back to his permanent home in Lorena, Texas.

James had a child-like joy that was infectious, and he could often be heard saying that he was “happy as a clam”. As a child in Aurora, he won the Beautiful Baby Award. Growing up in Woodway, he loved the sport of boxing and was a proud member of the Waco Boxing Club. During his time in Wisconsin, he loved spending time on the Kruger family land and farm. He claimed Westfield had the best tasting water from its famous Artesian wells. Throughout life, he had a love of motorcycles and racing, both street bikes and motocross. Tapping into his more creative side, James loved to write Haiku poems and even talked about publishing a book of his Haikus one day.

During his life, he gave back by serving on Mission trips to Jamaica and serving at an orphanage in Mexico with Fellowship Bible Church. As a believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he is now in heaven and free from the temptations and struggles of this world.

He is preceded in death by his father Don; brother Joe; nephews Dylan and Hunter; and great niece, Arabella.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lynn; brother Donny (Katie); sister Lindsay; nieces and nephews Aliyah, Lacey, Bryce, Caitlin, Abigail and Lila; great niece Delilah; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as countless other friends.
