In Loving memory of James Franklin Dickerson III
James, also known as “JD,” was born on June 26, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland, and passed away on June 27, 2026, in Waco,Texas. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and lasting memories with friends and family. JD proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. After active duty, he continued supporting the mission as an Aircraft Logistics Manager with SRC, providing invaluable support to the Air Force and those who served with him.
Above all, JD was a devoted father to his two daughters, Ariana Dickerson (22) and Jazlyn Dickerson (19), who were the center of his world. He cherished every moment with them, whether shopping or enjoying father-daughter pedicure days filled with smiles and laughter. His kindness, warmth, and playful spirit made him beloved by many. He enjoyed trying different restaurants, camping, and riding in the side-by-side in the country with his friends. He also had a strong passion for Habitat for Humanity, where he helped support people in need.
JD is lovingly survived by his daughters, Ariana and Jazlyn; his mother, Ernestine Baker and father, James Dickerson Jr.; his two sisters, Ruby Lynch (Marlon Lynch), Navarsha Subert (Isaac Shubert Jr.) ; his two brothers, Joshua Baker and Joseph Baker Jr. (Crystal Baker) and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss his love, guidance, and generous heart. James Dickerson’s life was one of service, devotion, and joy. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eunice Dickerson, and his grandfather, Henry Collins. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and coworkers.
Please join us in celebrating his life. The funeral will be held at Grace Gardens in Woodway, Texas, on July 10, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, with the service starting shortly after at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity in honor of JD.
