Jane Ann Bryant, lovingly known as Janie and GJ, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Born on July 27, 1945, in Port Neches, Texas, Janie’s life was marked by unwavering love and deep connections that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Janie was a beacon of warmth and kindness, cultivating lifelong friendships, some that began as early as kindergarten. To her, these bonds were the threads of her life’s journey. But above all, her family was her greatest joy and pride. Janie’s love for her daughters and grandchildren was profound and unyielding.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (David) Phillips, Cyndi (Rigo) Gonzalez, Robin (Scot) Loranc, and Tricia (Abel) Vasquez. GJ's spirit lives on vibrantly in the sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of love. Janie’s family circle extended with her sister Joyce Allison and her in-laws Sylvia Dobbs, Jimmy and Virginia Bryant, Hanna and Lee McCleary, alongside a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous lifelong friends who loved her dearly. Each relationship was nurtured with such care and devotion.

Janie is preceded by her beloved husband, Jerry Don Bryant, her daughters Kellie Kirkpatrick and Gwen Diaz, her parents, J.P. (Preston) Dobbs and Curley (Lillie Mae) Dobbs, and her brother J.P. Dobbs.

She will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the love she inspired in return. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace. A private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
