J.D. Behringer went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, September 1, 2023. A visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Renew Church Waco.
J.D. Behringer was born August 6, 1937, to Jesse and Thelma Behringer at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas. He attended schools in the Waco area. He served in the Navy 3 years and 6 months as a welder with an Honorable Discharge as a Second-Class Petty Officer. He then worked as a welder at Pioneer Steel, and later a sheet metal worker.
J.D. was a workaholic and pursued perfection in every endeavor he undertook. His motto in life was "Get It Done Yesterday!" His career in the Finance Industry spanned 50 years. He formed one company with locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana that employed over 350 employees. He along with his partner, Stan Tidwell, formed a second company that employed over 350 employees with locations in Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.
His approach to everything in life was to make it better. He believed, God the Creator of heaven and earth sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross for our sins and that life everlasting is through Jesus Christ, son of God. He was a member of Renew Church Waco.
His hobbies were work first, then hunting, fishing and wildlife ranching. His large collection of animal and fish mounts are from 15 countries and the U.S.
He is survived by Troy & Margie Behringer, Todd & Susan Behringer, Taylor Behringer, Nuong Behringer, Dana Nguyen, Randy Behringer, Bill Behringer, Jane Rains, numerous cousins and Helen Ridings, our loyal and dedicated friend and associate for over 50 years.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Pulley, Dr. Umad Ahmad, Dr. Rudranath Talukdar, Dr. Nancy Bednarz, Dr. Nick Schwedock, and the staff of:
Baylor Scott & White Hospital, The McClinton Cancer Center and Community Healthcare of Texas - Jessica Palmer, for all the excellent care they each provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Foster's Home for Children in Stephenville, Texas or a charity of your choice or Mission Waco
