Waco, Texas

Joe Beloat Jr, 60, of Lorena, passed away on February 01, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones after a hard, but courageous battle with brain cancer. A memorial service will be 1:30pm, Sunday, February 13th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, with family friend Marsha Juhl officiating.  A Visitation with the family will be an hour prior, starting at 12:30pm.

Joe was born July 08, 1961 in Waco, TX to Joe Beloat, Sr and Earnestine Crawford. He was the only son of four children. Growing up in Waco and Gatesville, he enjoyed Boy Scouts and baseball in his earlier years. He then graduated from Jefferson Moore in 1979. He married to Glinda “ Lynn” Robertson on December 24, 1980.

For years Joe was employed at different HVAC companies including Waco Systems, Lochridge Priest and Jacobs Cathey. He then went on to spend 17 years at Fleetwood Homes. The last few years he spent his time working at Harbor Freight and he loved to help his customers.

He enjoyed life and everyone that surrounded him. More than anything he loved his family and friends. He spent his free time fishing, camping, kayaking, wood working, and cast iron cooking. He instilled the love of the outdoors into his grandchildren during their time at the river. Country music was something else you could always count on when around him, his love of music was well known. He had a smile that was contagious and a laugh that is unforgettable.

He is preceded in death by his mother Earnestine Beloat and his lifelong friend Janet Eggleton.

Survivors include his wife, Glinda “Lynn” Robertson Beloat of Lorena; his father, Joe Beloat Sr. of Clifton; his sisters Shirley and husband James Spears of Lorena, Betty Moore of China Spring, and Jacqueline and husband Don Spears of Clifton; two children, daughter Leslie and husband Jimmy Crocker, and son Robert and wife Stephanie Beloat, all of Lorena; six very lucky grandchildren, Tristan and Caitlyn Ehresmann, Jason, Haley, and Joe Beloat, and Raelynn Crocker all of Lorena. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends including best friend Jerry Juhl.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Elizabeth, NP of McClinton Cancer Center, Jenny, RN of Baylor Scott and White Health Hospice, and his sister in law, Lori Robertson that spent the last few months by his side as a caretaker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McClinton Cancer Center or a Glioblastoma research Institute of your choice.
