After retirement, Joyce devoted much of her time to her church and treasured the friendships she had built throughout her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Joyce was also an avid sports fan and especially loved watching the Texas Rangers and Baylor Bears.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Bluebonnet Home Hospice, One You Love Home Care and especially Nurse Julie for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Joyce during her final weeks.

The family would also like to extend their deepest appreciation to Brent and Lee Bankston for their friendship, kindness and support over the years. They were the absolute best neighbors to Joyce and Robyn over the last 20 years and their friendship meant so much to the family.
