Kay Hague

August 17, 1956 — October 8, 2012

Kay Kahler Hague, 56, of Crawford, passed away peacefully October 8, 2012. To honor her request, a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kids for Kay Foundation, 9021 Chapel Rd, Waco, TX 76712.

Kay dedicated 33 years of her life to the early education of young children, and was an integral member of the administration team at Academy for Creative Learning since opening in 1999. She also spent much of her time volunteering for Providence Hospice, Angel Paws, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, and working to help children with Special Needs. Hazel was her precious therapy dog that went with Kay to see patients in the hospital. Kay had a beautiful soul and worked tirelessly to help people in need. She was a true servant of God and displayed this daily.

Kay is survived by her husband, Joe Hague, sons, Kirk Young and John Hague of Waco, daughter, Jenny Young of New Braunfels, siblings J.E. Masters of Dallas, Karen Kahler Stevenson and husband, Mark of Jefferson, TX, and Kent Kahler and wife, Chrisanne of Waco. Kay’s pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren, Ashtyn, Lyndi and Tate.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Providence Hospital for their support and loving care during Kay’s last days here on earth.
