Kenneth Lynn Kimmey, 69, of Whitney, won his battle with cancer on Thursday, April 9th, 2026. Kenneth was born to Tommy and Avanell Kimmey on December 12th, 1956, the first of three boys.
Kenneth lived in Baytown and made his living as a Machinist and Millwright at Mobay/Bayer and Solvay until he was fortunate enough to “retire” at 50 from the daily grind. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, offshore diving, and fishing. He turned that passion into a second career as a Certified Dive Master and Licensed Boat Captain. He packed up and moved to the Florida Keys, where he captained liveaboard boats in the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Wayne Kimmey. He leaves behind his children, Melanie Kimmey (Auld) and Kristopher Kimmey; grandchildren Kenner, Hunter, and Sayler Auld; and brother, Kelley Kimmey. As well as nieces and nephews, and others that loved and cared for him immensely.
At Kenneth’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held, but we invite you to have a glass of wine and celebrate the wonderful life he lived.
