Laurie Ann Washburn, née Jeter, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, in Waco, Texas, with her son by her side. Born on September 26, 1962, in Caldwell County, Texas, Laurie lived a life marked by kindness, perseverance, and a warm-hearted spirit that touched all who knew her.

A graduate of Midway High School, Laurie furthered her education at Howard Payne University. She dedicated her career to her role as an escrow officer for First American Title, where her take-charge attitude and ability to deliver results earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Laurie was known for her humble and kind nature. She was a true people person, always hospitable and welcoming, with a positive outlook that radiated through every interaction. Her persistence and leadership qualities made her a cornerstone in both her professional and personal life.

Her interests were as varied as they were vibrant. Laurie had a passion for crafts and antiques and was an avid sports enthusiast who loved playing softball. She found joy in watching movies and had a keen eye for interior design and decorating. Shopping at flea markets was one of her favorite pastimes, a reflection of her creative and spirited personality. Above all, Laurie cherished her roles as a devoted wife and mother.

Laurie is survived by her beloved husband, Jeff Sr., and her dear son, Jeffrey Washburn Jr. She also leaves behind her niece Melissa Davis and husband Tommy, along with great nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry forward her memory with love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Truett and Minnie Ruth Jeter; her brothers, Truett Jeter and David Jeter; her sister, Marcia Jeter; and her sister-in-law, Mary Jeter.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Laurie’s life with a visitation at Grace Gardens Funeral Home & Crematorium, located at 8220 Woodway Dr, Woodway, Texas, 76712, on May 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Laurie Ann Washburn’s legacy is one of warmth, determination, and grace. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
