Lawrence J. Garcia, of Woodway passed on February 13, 2024. A visitation and celebration of life will take place Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway, Texas from 2-4 pm.

Larry was born on April 27, 1963 in Evreux, France, while his family was living abroad as his father, Pedro Z. Garcia who was enlisted in the United State Air Force.  Larry, the youngest of the 6 Garcia children was described to be a hard working soul who never met a stranger.  He spent his early years living in various places as his family accompanied their father on his tours of service.  When the Garcia family finally settled in Fort Worth, Texas, Larry found a love for music and working with his hands in various operations. Larry attended school at Castleberry High School in Fort Worth.  In addition, he completed the vocational program, Information Technology Systems at Trinity Valley Community College in February 2002.  In addition, he completed multiple certification training programs including Instrument Operator Training, April 2022, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician- Grade 1, May 2023, and completed continuing education at McLennan Community College.

In recent years, Larry lived in Woodway, Texas working as a Quality Manager at variety of local companies including Metals 2 Go and Stoughton.  Larry had a special bond with his mother who passed away in March 2014. Over the past 9 year, he has quality time with his father, taking him to eat lunch at the Coffee Shop in McGregor, Texas and other local favorites.  Larry is now in heaven meeting many music legend and bonding with his family that has gone before him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Z. Garcia and Ofelia C. Garcia, brother, Roland Garcia, and son Joshua Garcia.  He is survived by his children, Larry P. Garcia of Woodway, Texas, and Laura Garcia of Denver, Colorado.  In addition, his sisters, Christina G. Tejada of Brownsville, Mary E. Garcia of Waco, Esmeralda Stanfill of Waco, Theresa F. Jordan of Fort Worth. As well as several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
