It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Gayle Burton, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on June 22, 2025, in Rosenthal, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on August 15, 1952, in Fort Hood, Texas, Linda's spirit was as vibrant as the town from which she hailed. Her life journey began with her education at Central Texas College, paving the way for a successful career that spanned an impressive 42 years as a Banking Lending Assistant across Texas.
Linda's professional accomplishments were only surpassed by her warmth and kindness. She had the unique ability to make anyone feel comfortable, often extending her generosity to lend support and encouragement. Her passion for her work was evident, but it was her zest for life that truly defined her.
A spirited individual, Linda was a drum major in high school, showcasing her leadership and confidence from a young age. Her love for adventure shone through her hobbies; from water skiing on sunny afternoons to cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers—each experience a testament to her carefree spirit. Whether it was attending concerts or solving crossword puzzles, Linda embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy.
She is survived by her loving brother, Bill Burton; her sister-in-law, Kathy Burton; her cherished nephew, Bryan Burton and his wife, Krystel; her dear niece, Brittany Martin and her husband, Seth; and her great nieces and nephews, Caleb, Kourtney, and Kinley, who were a source of immense pride and joy for her.
Linda reunites in peace with her parents, her brother, Stevie Burton, and her former husband, Mike Feary. While the loss of Linda leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, her vibrant spirit and cherished memories will always be remembered.
As we celebrate her life, we are reminded of her compassion, laughter, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Linda's impact will resonate in every life she touched, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and enduring love.
