Lorie Macon

Lorie Langlotz Macon passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Waco, Texas on December 8, 1967, to Charles Langlotz and Patricia Turner.

She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1986. She then studied at Panola College and Baylor University. She remained in Waco throughout most of her adult life.

Lorie was an avid sports fan who loved all Baylor sports and the Texas Rangers. She considered herself fortunate to see the Baylor men win a national championship and the Texas Rangers win a world series in her lifetime.  She was known to “coach” her teams by hollering at the TV every weekend.

Beyond sports, she was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord and serving with her fellow sparrows at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church where she was a member. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of many individuals through her selflessness and compassion.

Lorie’s legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.  She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and unwavering devotion to God and her family.

Lorie is preceded in death by her Mamaw, Mary Alice Langlotz, and her dad, Charles Ray Langlotz.  She is survived by her mother, Patricia Turner; aunt, Donna Baker; sister, Melinda Hedrick and husband, Brent; nieces, Tinsley and Ella Hedrick; bonus mother, Lisa Langlotz; bonus brother, Alec Price and wife, Carla; bonus sister, Trinity Hall and husband, Drew; bonus niece and nephew, Porter and Delaney Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels Waco.
