Mabel Olsen

Amelia “Mabel” Olsen, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was born on October 26, 1941. Known lovingly as Mabel, she will be remembered for her warm heart and her devotion to her family.

Mabel spent many years working as a warehouse clerk with Marathon Norco in Waco, Texas, where she formed lasting friendships with those she worked alongside. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waco, Texas, where her faith was an important part of her life. Mabel found happiness in attending church, shopping, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She cherished the moments shared with the people she loved and created memories that will remain in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, Lupe Castro, beloved daughter, Tracy West Olsen, brothers, Bartolo Castro, Emilio Castro, Mingo Castro, and Rameiro Castro.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jimmy Olsen; daughters Debbie Olsen and Shannon Olsen and her husband, Kevin Summers; grandchildren Spencer and Sean West, Quincy Summers, Amelia "Angel" Summers, Kaylee Summers, Michael Olsen, Andrew Deteau, Robert Deteau; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, including twin girls Traci and Anneleigh West, twins Spencer West, Jr. and Hannah West, Cameron Summers, Caiden Summers, Kiyah Summers, and Oliver West. Her true friend, Jessie Brown, with whom she shared a special bond with, as well as extended family and friends. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has prayed for them and supported their family during this difficult time. Your kindness, prayers, and compassion have meant more than words can express.

Though Mabel is no longer with us, her love, faith, and memories will live on through the family she cherished so deeply.
