Matthew Cochran passed away on June 24, 2026. A memorial visitation in his honor will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, July 3, 2026 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Matthew Charles Cochran was born on February 11, 1974, in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama, to Thurman Cochran, Jr. and Gail Blackburn Cochran.

Matt graduated from high school in 1992, where he participated in basketball and track. After graduation, he began working for Trane Technologies in McGregor, Texas, where he spent nearly 30 years as a Team Leader and valued employee.

In 1999, Matt married Tania Lytle Cochran. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with two wonderful children, Taylan and Caseton. Matt will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, unwavering love for his family, and the quiet strength with which he faced life’s challenges.

Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Cochran, and his sister, Elizabeth Cochran. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tania Cochran; his daughter, Taylan Cochran; his son, Caseton Cochran; and his father, Thurman Cochran, as well as extended family and friends. 

His laughter, generosity, and love of the outdoors will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
