Michelline Christaine (Hanley) Solares

Dawson, Texas

Michelline Christaine Hanley Solares, 39, of Dawson, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, February 19, 2022.  Funeral Services will be 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 27th, 2022 at the Cowboy Church of Corsicana.  A Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 pm, prior to the service.  Interment will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 1st at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Michelline was born on March 14th, 1982 in Charlestown, Nevis.  She accepted Christ early in her life and attended church regularly during her childhood. Her faith remained strong throughout her life.

At the age of 4, she moved to New York City. After graduating William Howard Taft High School in 2000, she joined the Marine Corps and served her country honorably for 8 years. She deployed twice participating in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom II. While stationed in Japan, she met the love of her life Anthony Solares. They married Sept 21,2009 in California.

Michelline matriculated with her Associates in Communication Leadership in Palomar College. Blessed with a gift of skillful communication and financial astuteness, she succeeded towards entrepreneurial endeavors.  She co-owned and operated Hidden Oasis Thrift Store and was the accountant for the family’s business A.S. Infotech. She also owned Shantel’s Dream Braiding.

Michelline’s most proud title was homemaker. She was known for maintaining an immaculate home, filled with love and laughter. In addition, she provided a quality education that centered around Christian values, academic excellence, and adventure by homeschooling her two daughters.

Michelline loved painting, singing, sewing, and gardening. These hobbies paled into comparison of building memories with her family and friends. She collected many memories by traveling near and far with them. Wherever she happened to be, she always made an impact, left an impression, and always made a friend because of her infectious smile and joyful spirit.

Michelline was preceded in death by her father Lewis Hanley and her sister Shantel Hanley.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years Anthony Solares; daughters Shantel and Kira Solares; mother Cristobel Hanley; 15 sisters and brothers; a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
