It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Mirella Judie, lovingly known to many as “Yin”. Born in Waco, Texas, on May 21, 1985, Mirella lived in Austin, where her vibrant personality, strong sense of faith, and love for life touched everyone who knew her.
Mirella married Yashavaun Judie on July 17, 2017, in Round Rock, Texas.
She had a beautiful voice and a true passion for singing. Her faith kept her strong; she loved to pray, worship, and spend time outdoors, especially by the water. Mirella enjoyed fishing, being with family, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She was a big fan of college football, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide and loved watching Texas baseball.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Fidela Martinez, her father Julio Ruiz, and her sister Miraida Ruiz Ortiz.
She is survived by her wife, Yashavaun Judie; her brother Felipe Loera and his wife Christiana; her nephew Juan Ortiz and his spouse Abby; her nephew Giovanni Loera; her nieces Millie Loera, Nadaliah Ortiz, and Nahla Judie; and many more beloved relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Kris and the staff at Grace Gardens for their care and support, and to all the family and friends who helped raise funds during this difficult time — your love and generosity mean more than words can express.
Yin’s joyful spirit, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
