Olga Ann Gonzales Cates

Olga Ann Gonzales Cates, age 65, of Waco, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2025, after a long battle with chronic illness.

She is survived by her parents, Alfred and Amelia Gonzales; her siblings, Alfred Jr. Gonzales, LeeAnn Montoya, Russell W. Gonzales, Jesse Montoya, and Stacy J. Gonzales; her loving daughters, Amber Nicole Gonzales Mercader and Denise Elizabeth Whitsel (Gonzales Cates); and her grandchildren, Isaiah Stevenson, Lucky Whitsel, and Bonita Beans Mercader. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Rene Whitsel.

Olga will be greeted in the afterlife by her beloved mother, Mildred Michelle Aguilar, and her dear brothers, Rodney J. Gonzales and Richard W. Gonzales. May they all rest in peace.

Born on June 15th, 1959, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas, Olga attended University High School before moving to San Francisco, California, where she began a vibrant new chapter of life and built a loving family.

Olga had a deep love for her family and friends. She embraced life with a passion for travel, laughter, and meaningful connection.

Please join her family in celebrating Olga’s life on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Refreshments and memorial gathering will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by a rosary at 6:00 PM.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
