Patricia (Herron) Collins

Patricia “Pat” Collins of Waco passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 79 surrounded by loved ones. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Pat was born on April 5, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to Melvin and Robbie Herron.She was the baby daughter of three. The oldest sister Bobbie Jo and the middle sister Omalene “Lenie”The adventures these three had growing up together!

Pat married Bubber John Collins on May 14, 1966. From this beautiful union three children were born. Jason, Jennifer and Heath. Pat was a homemaker and the best at everything she did!

She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, reading and taking care of her animals. There really wasn’t anything that she couldn’t do!

She was known as “Meme” to her grandchildren. They were all very special to her and she made sure each one of them knew that.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Robbie Herron;  her husband Bubber Collins, her son Jason Collins,  her sister Omalene “Lenie”and husband Eddie Garon and Brother-in-law Dale Foulds.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Cowan and husband Kris, Heath Collins and wife Kristina; Sister Bobbie Jo Foulds, Brother-In-Law Bill Collins and wife Becky. Grandchildren Lauren and Seth Cowan and  Michael and Ryan Collins. Also included is her ”adopted son” Shannon Neale with whom she had a very close and loving relationship with.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Blake and the Blue Bonnet Hospice team for their wonderful and loving care shown to Pat over the past year. We will miss her immensely and will treasure every moment we spent with her.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to Fuzzy Friends or the Humane Society of Central Texas would be a wonderful gift in honor of Pat.
