Patrick Ellis Dougherty, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Woodway, Texas, at the age of 76. Born on August 22, 1948, in Tyler, Texas, Patrick was the cherished son of LE "Red" and Maddie Dougherty. He spent his formative years in Waco, where he graduated from Richfield High School.

Patrick dedicated much of his professional life to various roles at Olan Mills Processing Plant, Allergan, and ultimately retiring from M&M Mars, where his contributions were significant and appreciated. His work ethic and commitment extended beyond his career; he was known for his big heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

A man of vibrant spirit, Patrick found joy in life through travel and adventure, creating memories that he would share with his loved ones for years to come. He possessed a unique ability to light up any room with his charm, leaving an impression on all those fortunate enough to have known him. His fun-loving demeanor and zest for life brought so much joy to his family and friends.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Terry; his devoted son, Britt; and his cherished sisters, Sherry Marlatt and Gail Jenkins. He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law, Larry Jenkins, Larry Walters and his wife Lisa; as well as many nieces and nephews who adored him and numerous friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, Leonard Dougherty, as well as his sister, Loretta Jones. 

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service or visitation, and he will be cremated. Patrick's legacy of kindness, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the alzheimers association.
