Patsy (Pat) Jane Parrish

June 29, 1937 — March 18, 2024

Patsy (Pat) Jane Parrish was born in Cleburne, Texas, June 29, 1937, to Vernon Ellis and Eunice Brown Ellis.
She went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024 while in hospice care at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Clifton, Texas.

Pat grew up in Cleburne with her parents and a sister. She also had a twin
sister, Peggy, who died soon after birth. Pat met her loving husband,
Ronald, in 1953 on a blind date. You could say it was love at first sight.
One year later, on August 19, 1954, they were married. Ronald and Pat
raised three children in a good Christian home. Pat was involved in the
children’s ministry at Baptist Temple Church in San Benito, Texas and
Gateway Church in Del Norte, Colorado. She led Sunday School classes and
many Vacation Bible School events. In 1993 Pat became a certified
Ventriloquist. She and her side kick, Arnold, would spread the word of Jesus
through their humorous skits. They visited other Churches, Hospitals,
Nursing Homes, and Scout Troop Meetings, just to name a few. Pat touched
many lives through her ministry.

Pat also handled all of the bookkeeping for Ronald’s Electric and Plumbing
Contracting business. They made a great team. Together they built four
houses, from the ground up, that they lived in through their 59 years
together.

Pat had a passion for making dolls and baking. She loved doing both and
shared her works with others. She had an uncanny ability to make people
smile and laugh. You never knew what joke or prank she was planning. She
had a great sense of humor and people enjoyed her presence. She was a
devoted wife and mother who, by example, taught her children the
importance of love, respect and pride.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Parrish; her parents,
E.V. and Eunice Ellis; her sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Walter
Hoyler; her sister, Peggy Ellis; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, R. Merle
and Pauline Clark Parrish; sister-in-law, Linda Parrish and daughter-in-law,
Judy Parrish.
