Paula Kathryn Hooker, a faithful follower of the Church of Christ, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Born on August 27, 1946, in Marshall, Texas, Paula lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and an enduring love for animals.

Paula devoted many years working at Nutone Cleaners on Lake Air. 

Throughout her life, Paula’s affection for animals was a defining characteristic. She was the loving owner of numerous dogs over the years and cherished her horses, Velvet and Bonfire, who held a special place in her heart. Her love for creatures great and small was a reflection of her gentle and compassionate nature.

A steadfast member of the Church of Christ, Paula was baptized in 1959 at the church in Marshall, Texas. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing comfort and guidance during both joyful and challenging times. 

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Alliene Hooker. She is survived by cousins and friends who will remember her fondly and hold her memory dear.

Paula’s life will be honored with a graveside service on May 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, located along Interstate 35 in Robinson, Texas. 

She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
