Polly Ann Hedrick

Polly Ann (Woods) Hedrick was born January 27, 1947. She graced the world with her big ‘ol dimpled smile from the moment she entered it, to the moment she left it on June 17, 2024.

She was raised in Waco and attended Richfield High School graduating with the great class of ‘65. She later went on to attend McLennan Community College, Southern Methodist University, and then finished her education at Baylor University. Polly’s early employment included some teaching, then she went on to work as a commercial bank officer, which led her into a career of real estate that lasted over 40 years allowing her to leave quite the legacy behind. One could say she sold half of Waco.

Though Polly had a burning passion for selling real estate & it lead her to meeting numerous life long friends, she was so much more than just her career. She was a woman of great faith; a life long Baptist who helped bring others closer to God. Her other hobbies included traveling the World. She could be described as a free spirit who loved a good adventure and had a flair for being spontaneous. Among her favorite places to visit were Paris, France, and Las Vegas. She was also a fierce Bunco competitor, and loved gathering monthly with her friends for a game. But more than anything, Polly loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. She rarely allowed them to leave her house without first having a bowl of blue bell ice cream. She made it known to each and every one of her children & grandchildren how proud she was of them and how much she loved them.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hedrick. On June 5th, they celebrated 60 years of marriage, sharing a relationship that one couldn’t help but look up to and admire. She is also Survived by her Brother and sisters, William J Woods III, Jackie Weaver, and Nancy Depoy, Children, Stacey Boiles, son in law Charles A Boiles III, her son Brent Hedrick, daughter in law Melinda Hedrick, and grandchildren Blake Boiles, Brooke Boiles, Tinsley Hedrick, Brett Boiles, and Ella Hedrick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William J Woods Jr and Johnnie Helen (Crump) Woods.

Polly’s infectious smile and generous heart will be missed dearly but because of her faith in Jesus Christ we know that we will see her beautiful soul again.
