Rachael R. Illingsworth, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 27, 2026, in McGregor, Texas.

Born on March 27, 1949, in Highland Park, Michigan, Rachael lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her work, her faith, and the hobbies she loved. She earned an associate degree and went on to enjoy a successful career as an office manager with TR Associates, where she worked for more than 20 years.

Rachael was first married to Reuben Michael Parrish with whom she had two children. Later she married Bill Illingsworth. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands.

She was a faithful member of Shady Baptist Church in Lake Wales, Florida, and enjoyed being active in the Herb Guild. A gifted porcelain painter, Rachael found great joy in creating beautiful works of art.

Above all, Rachael treasured her family. She is lovingly survived by her children, Jennette Parrish and Steven Parrish; her sisters; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, along with family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her sisters, Dr. Rebecca Whitaker and Susan Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s and dementia research.

Rachael’s kindness, creativity, steadfast faith, and love for her family will be remembered always by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
